Some of the older long standing members of R1 will remember Andy and Carol Young from Newmilns Ayrshire sadly Carol passed away last month after a stroke just age 65 and she had only just retired .
Andy came along to a car show in Kilmarnock today just to let me know of Carols passing and asked me to pass on the sad news to all who knew her from the old days of the club.
 
Thanks for the heads up Brian. So sorry to read about Carol, I remember the first time I met Carol and Andy at the Doune Classic weekend having arrived in their white air cooled 911, with one of the rear corners sitting very low, and which was later diagnosed as a broken torsion bar.. A wonderfully friendly couple. I have passed on the sad news to a few other of the Porsche "Clan" who were around in the early days of PCGB in Scotland. Please pass on our sympathies to Andy when next you meet.
