I am pleased to announce that the first 997 event to be organised is a meet at RPM Technik on Sunday 3rd October.

Based in Long Marston on the border of Herts, Beds and Bucks, RPM are well known for their CSR conversions, race prep, and they can also offer Manthey Racing parts in the UK. We can view their showroom and workshops and I am sure they will have plenty of Porsches of interest. The event will be fairly relaxed, with RPM kindly supplying drinks and pastries, but just a chance for some of us to meet up, get together and admire one another's cars, as so many of you have emailed asking about a meet. We will aim to start at 10am and be disperse around lunchtime. We have a limited number of cars we can get on site, approximately 30, and whilst we are still following Covid rules, could those interested please email me with your name, membership number, vehicle details and registration, together with you contact telephone number. I will start a list so we can see what interest we have. Many thanks to the RPM Technik team for letting us meet up at their premises.

We aim to meet up a little earlier, around 9.30am and the team at RPM will kindly look after us until lunchtime with drinks and pastries. The postcode for your Sat Nav’s is HP23 4QR, with the address being Units 6&7, Old Airfield Industrial Estate, Cheddington Lane, Long Marston. So those like me with a Gen 1 car on an early PCM system, that will be Long Marston, then Cheddington Lane!

Hopefully it should be dry for us, but looking forward to meeting you all there, whatever the weather!

Thanks Anthony, if you could send me a Private Message or email 997@porscheclubgb.com with your full name, membership number, vehicle details and registration, together with you contact telephone number.

See you there!

Hi there it looks like I'm too late to this seeing that they can only accommodate 30 cars but please let me know :)

I have just emailed out to all those registered for the RPM meet on Sunday, just to make sure you are all still OK to attend, in light of the fuel station issues we are experiencing at present. I might have to drive down just a touch slower to conserve some fuel, but still looking to go ahead. If any of you cannot attend, please let me know, as we do have a number of members who would like to come along.

For all those who have expressed interest in the last couple of days, and are not currently on the list, please bear with me and I will get back to you shortly.

We want to make this a great meet, not just for members, but also for RPM who will be putting a lot of time and effort into making this happen on Sunday.

Many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you.

I fear that I must withdraw from the meet on Sunday. Please give my place to one of the reserve list.
I will probably have enough fuel to get to RPM but fear not being able to refuel to return home.
Sign of the times.

Thank you.

Thanks Steve for arranging the meet at RPM today. It was good to meet fellow 997 owners and see some great cars. Look forward to the next one.
