You may be aware that the region has jumped onto the NC500 bandwagon and a Northumberland 250 route has been created (more details here https://nland250.com/ I also have a full GoogleMaps route with all the waypoints detailed).

I suspect many of us will be familiar with different parts of the route & I did the top 2/3 of the route last year and had a great time on mostly deserted roads. I’m considering using a days holiday st we have the long days to drive the entire route. Is there any interest out there in joining me for the day. As the route covers a big part of R3 option there is the option to join as we pass your local part of the route or the option to start in a couple of groups in both North & South of R3 and then run counter to each other and meet enroute a couple of times as the routes cross?

I’m not decided yet whether to aim for midweek (avoiding some of the weekend tourists) or for a Sunday when more people would be able to take part….comments below if you are interested and I’ll look to sort out the logistics. As a starter I’m suggesting 1st, 2nd or 3rd August.

23/6 - Thanks for the interest guys, I'll add the names of those who want to take part, leave the post up for a week and then start firming up details.

24/6 - Please use this link below to register interested/preferences https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAO__cg8dbtUMzE4NTJHNjNXSjA5STM3SkNRUDMyRkZPWi4u

Hi Simon

Interested in doing this but subject to work and other diary commitments. I can do either week days (not Tues or Weds) or Sunday.

Drive safe

John&Gillian

I'd be interested in joining you for this - excellent idea.

Early retired so fairly flexible date wise. . .

Gronk1977,

It's the Silverstone Classic 30 July to 1 August. Tuesday 3 is probably earliest I could effectively attend this run as a consequence. . .

Hi, yes will be pleased to do this run-out, but having 3-4 days down south at Silverstone classic so would prefer sometime the following week to give me & the car a refresh before its next journey, Tuesday ok, Phil

Hi Gronk. Certainly keen to do this route, but I am another Classic attendee so 3rd is really the only date that I could do of the ones suggested.

Cheers John, yes we seem to have an increasingly congested calendar. From the replies submitted on the online form that I’ve seen so far the August 3rd is looking like the favorite date. Almost tempted to put another week down and an alternative but suspect we’ll just stumble into some other set of clashes.

Can you make sure you have submitted the form, but its increasingly looking like the 3rd unless we have a huge influx of responses over the next week. I’m really pleased so many appear to be interested.

I'd be interested in joining the run if the dates are ok with other things. Weekend or week day are ok for me at the moment, 1/8 clashes with Sports Cars in the Park but other than that I'm quite flexible. Thanks Jim

Great stuff James…have you filled in the online form so we have a record of your preferences/details?

Hi everyone, the post has been live for a couple of weeks and I've had expressions of interest from the following forum members

I've consolidated the results and its looking like TUESDAY 3rd AUGUST is the date where the most can make it.

Apologies to @edward, @kencharlton & @davidbf1 who couldn't make the 3rd. If you find you are able to make it please let me know, more than happy to keep you in the group communications.

@phillipmorris, @Temmplar, @kennyrobinson, @johnCRS - you each expressed an interest but don't seem to have completed the form. If you are still interested can you complete the registration form (link below).

If anyone is seeing this late, more than happy to have you along if you could fill in the online form so I have the necessary details, its probably also worth commenting on the thread so I know the online form has been updated.

Registration form is here https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAO__cg8dbtUMzE4NTJHNjNXSjA5STM3SkNRUDMyRkZPWi4u

Thanks to everyone who showed interest, I'll be in touch in the near future with details of an itinerary, suggested start point, meeting time etc.
