PCGB 997/991 Registers used to support this event annually for several years. It takes place alongside Beaulieu Motor Museum and is beautifully set in the grounds of the stately home, within the New Forest and close to Southampton.

It's a lovely, friendly event with excellent facilities and some stunning cars on show - some of the best even put on demonstration runs each day!

I'm not sure if any section of the Club is showing officially this year, but I shall be there on both days with the Turbo S' and I hope anyone from the Club who's coming along will be able to pop over and say "hello".

If you've not been before, further info and ticket booking can be obtained here https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/beaulieu-supercar-weekend/

Hope to see you there.

Regards,

Clive

I remember that photo, it was a great day out, if I remember correctly you could book to take your car for a demonstration run with spectators either side of the road giving a cheer, have I got the correct event ?

We are due to be in France but I expect that will be cancelled now, so will probably be free.

You are spot on Geoff - and Clive was known to show the F**raris and M**arens how to do it properly!

Alan, I thought it was yours but I wasn’t sure, and yes it was a very short bit of tarmac. My Carrera lacked the Sport Chrono option so launch control was not available, instead just foot to the floor when the flag dropped and then hard on the brakes at the other end.

Great show at Beaulieu

Went in 2017 (I think) and it was great.
First time I managed to visit a PCGB stand at a show.

Some exotic cars there. Really good setup and thoroughly enjoyable watching the launches along the estate road.

Thank you Clive for an amazing passenger ride in the 992 Turbo S.

To experience that launch down the drive at Beaulieu was truly memorable. Of course I was expecting it to be mega quick but the sound, fury and G force was on another level of mental. The 10 pot ceramic brakes returning the car to Earth were equally incredible.

Congratulations Clive on such a lovely Porsche.

Ha! You're very welcome Nick. I suggested the launch might blow your socks off. Was I right? :ROFLMAO:

Saturday was a bit of disappointment weather-wise. There was a monsoon early on which flooded all the approach roads into the site and made life tricky for a while. Then showers continued right through the day, interspersed with a few bright spots. I was supposed to be doing demo runs both days, but received an email from the organiser on arrival that I had been relegated to Sunday only! [] Who let the cat out of the bag?

Some nice kit on display on the lawn outside Palace House
Sunday turned out to be much better day and Mike Allen, Macan RS, turned up in his 991 GT3 RS to keep me company. You can see us performing here at https://youtu.be/Tnbm9HKJqkI at 40.30 - but don't blink or you'll miss it!

Yes Clive, socks completely blown off!

The video just does not convey the ferocious forces involved and the incredible traction!
