AirCon Issues

Hi, has anyone experience problems with their 991 Carrera S air conditioner. I’ve had my car in the dealership 4 times in the last year and a half only to
be told nothing wrong ... yet no cooling! Today was told the my condensers are corroded and leaking! My car is only driven from late spring into the fall and parked and covered in my garage outside of actually being driven. This seems very odd to me. we have another car that is and has been parked in the elements for the past 13 years and have never had an issues with any mechanics! Has anyone experienced aircon problems? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I’m afraid that corroded and leaking aircon condensers aren’t confined to 991s. It’s a common problem on all Porsche sports cars, both rear and mid-engine, since they’re very vulnerable to debris - stones, etc. - and wet, rotting leaves, the latter doing their worst while your car is laid-up under cover in your garage over winter.
I’m afraid there’s no option but to replace the condensers and recharge the system. You may want to consider fitting mesh in the intakes to minimise ingress. Zunsport can help you.

The air conditioner is able to plunge into a pleasant coolness even when there is a real hell outside the car windows in summer. In winter, the air conditioner is also useful-thanks to it, the windows do not fog up in the cabin.Like any other device, it needs competent maintenance so that it can be used for as long as possible. To ensure maximum comfort I order service from
