Fathers Day at Castle Howard, 10am - 4pm

If the weather conditions allow, it has been suggested we all bring along a picnic to enjoy the day properly.

The advertised times are 10am - 4pm, the organisers encourage entrance via Malton on the Castle Howard Road, this is off York Rd, Malton, the postcode for the junction appears to be YO17 6AU

In 2019 clubs were arriving about 9.00 to 9.30 - it took a while to get in! They then pointed you to you allocated club area.

I will add any further information as it becomes available.

Peter Brook from past experience, has kindly provided an exit strategy for leaving Castle Howard – West Bound
The main problem leaving an Event at Castle Howard and wanting to head west is joining the A64
which usually involves long queues. As an alternative:
On leaving, at the Obelisk roundabout turn left down The Stray toward the A64
In 1.2 miles take the right turn - signed Bulmer and Sherriff Hutton
On entering Sherriff Hutton at the mini roundabout turn left – New Lane signed Strensall
In 0.6 miles follow the main road signed Strensall
In Strensall at the Ship Inn T-junction turn right signed Huntington and York
Follow this road until you reach the A1237 York Ring Road
At this point turn left towards the A64 to Leeds
OR
Right for Harrogate

Offering a spectacular day of motoring heritage ideal for enthusiasts, families and day trippers, this event will feature an exciting display of vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles. Add to this classic motorcycles, trade and autojumble stalls, modern car dealership stands, quality food, drink, ice cream and responsible bars – what’s not to like?

The event will also feature a full vehicle concours and awards ceremony overseen by leading commentator Richard Lee who is well known across the northern classic vehicle scene. Awards will be presented for a range of vehicle age groups and will culminate in the Club of the Show, Pride of Ownership and Car of the Show awards.

The cost is £5 per car with up to two adults, we would be allowed a club area situated together providing we pre-book to ensure the organisers have the right space allocation.

Hi,

We would love to go, myself Bradley McBain, my wife Rachel and our two kids if that is permitted?

Many thanks
Bradley

Hello Bradley, I am sure that will be fine, there is nothing I can see on the club information regarding children but will ask when I contact them today.

Pete

Hi Pete, When I last went 2 years ago, there were loads of kids their with family's, in fact they were loads of side attractions in next field with a showground and petting animals etc.

Hello Peter,
Please can me and my daughter be added to the list for this event.

Many Thanks,
Darren Chamberlain

Hi Bradley, had a reply just now:

Hello Peter,

Yes young children are allowed in the vehicle, they will just have to pay for the child on the day.
The £5.00 exhibitor price is just for up to 2 adults.

Hope that helps.
