Hi Folks

Thought this group of ‘Classic’ Registers might like to know of / attend this event.

Rather unusually for PCGB, this would involve ritual (Anglican) blessing of the assembled cars and presumably drivers, and ‘an ostentatious parade’ around the lanes and valleys .. ??

It is organised by a parishioner associated with Bicester Heritage in some way, and has been running for a few years now.

‘The Craswall Classic’ is a service of blessing for vintage cars, tractors, motor bikes, bicycles and even people, in Craswall Churchyard, near the village of Craswall on 24th July 2021 beginning 10:00.
You can be assured the roads in the area are pretty reasonable if narrow (certainly better than mine), and the event is situated in a particularly majestic setting amongst the Black Hills.

I am assured there is plenty of space, so I would hope to attract at least 30 nice examples of our marque, but my Carrera S Lightweight will be there too ! Also be assured God might be mentioned once or twice, but any or no faith is required to attend, and the Vicar is a most genial gentleman !

They will appreciate knowing roughly how many will turn up / want to picnic etc, so please direct enquiries through me in the first instance ..

Let me know !!

Cheers, Maurice

I'm sure there is someone here who needs blessing (besides me !)

How about you, Fred ?
