Macan delayed because of seat manufacturer going bust

Hi We've been waiting for our Macan for quite a long time. Was told it entered bodyshop on 20th April but it just sat there at that date. Just been told by my OPC that seat manufacturer has gone bust affecting all Macan's and Cayennes. Anybody know if this is true?? Many Thanks

With all due respect to your PC, I don't think the problem revolves around the seat manufacturer so much as the supply of microchips for the seat modules that has dried up. There's a worldwide shortage atm and most manufacturers seem to have had their production adversely affected. [8|]

Update. I have heard from Porsche Sheffield today that delay is because semi conductor shortage affecting a lot of manufacturers and that all Macan's have been put back to a factory completion date of 28th July although some may complete earlier. They said this would affect 718's also. Cheers Duncan
