TwinfanI think only Mannylon has bought the Mathey kit. TDT has bougth KW shocks for his 981 GT4 but I think from KW to Manthey spec, not from Manthey.
AndrewCSManthey`s warranty section mentions that some of it`s parts are not approved for road use ... For those that have already purchased these, was there such a disclaimer in the packaging / invoice ?
TwinfanCheers T, I didn't know exactly what you'd had done hence the word "think"
TDTTwinfanI think only Mannylon has bought the Mathey kit. TDT has bougth KW shocks for his 981 GT4 but I think from KW to Manthey spec, not from Manthey. If you know the history of the development of the Full 981 GT4 MR chassis package…there are 3 flavours, Competition, Clubsport and upgrade for OEM. For the Clubsport, MR took the KW Clubsport damper package in this case and developed their own tuning for bump and rebound, geo and ride height set up for various application, The Ring or GP circuits, which is then what gets applied to the car if you work with an MR Partner… RPM or JZM in the UK.I have the official 981 MR arm package… complete with MR serial numbers and also the KW 3-way Clubsport as developed for MR by KW for the 981. .Theoretically both ChrisW and I could apply for FULL GT4 MR designation (if we got the wing also), having worked with MR partners with this set-up, as we are running the same…. but for the various power upgrades which we have also done. In more recent time MR have then been branding the top of the line KW Competition kits with black top mounts and green springs, and then also continued to worked more closely to develop specific spring rates and damper valving and calibration. (edited to add comment ref: wing) I have just picked up on this ... I did ask about GT4 MR designation for my car ... I also have the MR BBS F1R wheels, but I was told that to do so I would need to remove my Surface Transform discs because ? Since that would definitely be a retrograde step in both performance and longevity, I would not do it. But for both these reasons you also have to ask why ? Surely MR is far more than just a marketing badge ?
