Layer Marney Tower is a gem in the heart of Essex. It is Englands tallest Tudor Gatehouse and commands views to the River Blackwater. Built in the reign of Henry VIII by Lord Marney, it is a statement house that shows the wealth of the owner and friend of the King. Layer Marney Tower is very close to Tiptree, off the A12 at Kelvedon.
Enjoy a private group tour by the owners of this remarkable property followed by a cream tea. The tour can take up to two hours which may include walking to the top of the tower with its spectacular views. It is believed that King Henry visited Layer Marney and the tour will visit the rooms where the King stayed. Apart from the main house and Tower there is a fascinating Church and Long Barn. The cream tea is your choice of drink with scones, jam and cream, it does not include sandwiches.

We have parking arranged on the shingle drive in front of the tower for approximately 40 cars but can accommodate more in the field. There are some small speed bumps and a cattle grid which should not cause any issue for any Porsche.

The price is £20.90 per person to include tour and tea. Prepayment only, you cannot turn up on the day without having paid. Cut off for booking and payment is 5 July 2021.

Please contact R11@porscheclubgb.com for more details and to book.
