Rick DeMan’s shop have been building and racing Caymans for a number of years, probably before BGB started. They built a 981 GT4 Clubsport from a manual Cayman S fitted with the 3.8L engine because they wanted to run manual for gearing at Daytona and less integration between ABS and gearbox.

I looked at getting their first engine capacity upgrade which was to 4.0L (parts $18k) but at that early stage of their modifications programme were reluctant to support outside the USA and my project moved on elsewhere. They do now support non-USA installs so go for it!

I am giving it serious thought, as something to look more deeply into.... as it will satiate my yearning for GT3 level power, but not at GT3 prices, as well as having something pretty unique.

You should reach out to Jens Ehresmann who has 4.0L and 4.2L upgrades and is a lot nearer than the East Coast.

Where Jens started in January 2015

I was an early adopter, my old car at MTO 3 months later in April 2015 - they found another 15Hp after this
