Latest recommendation for tyres

Apologies, I know tyre threads are pretty tedious but I’m struggling to find any recent recommendations for tyre choices for 964s.

my current tyres are AD08RS’s but the car is no longer being used foe track days and anyway these aren’t available anymore, only the less sticky R version. Nonetheless, AD08R would probably be my default choice.

Is there a better choice for a road-only car, used mainly in the dry (unless there is an unplanned downpour), doing only 1,000 miles or so a year.

Pirelli P Zero Rosso n5 fitted to mine now, was on continentals that were getting on a bit. Really good grip, ride and noise levels, very pleased with them. Haven’t tried them on wet roads yet - same as you, don’t plan to! But certainly work really well on cold British tarmac

Switched to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3's after a good chat with Chris at CoG. Tried various (Conti's, Toyo, Bridg) on both mine over the years but never looked back now. Chris works with Goodyear and Mich. and it was interesting to hear him say that Mich have now included the F1 Ass's as a reference tyre. New compound and soo grippy. They just feel great and give me so much more confidence. Not had to use them in the wet yet, but I don't doubt their wet performance (where the Conti's were great but not worth the summer, dry tarmac sacrifice imo).

End of the day it's a bit like engine oil - everyone has their own preferences and reasons.

I recently switched to Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 N0, although they are still barely used. I was running Continental Contisport for many years and, tbh, I never really got on with them having come from Pirelli PZeros, they weren't in the same ball park.

I really wanted to go back to the PZeros but they are no longer available in 16".

Hi,
I had used conti's but as they are no longer available changed to P Zero N 5's in April, been very happy with them so far

What wheel size? I couldn't get hold of 16" tyres.

I have a set of still decent, surplus 16” Bridgestone SO2s. Advertised for £120 in the classifieds section but very open to offers. PM me if of interest.
