re-cover rear seat pad

Member
hi there

2002 996 targa

one of the rear seat pad (black leather) has been water damaged - any suggestions on where i can get it re-covered ?

the pad is easily removed and light enough to post - the leather is all ripped from shrinkage so cannot be restored

thanks

That’s my understanding.

There seem to be quite a few secondhand pads available on eBay. Might be more cost effective than repairing yours.

If going down the repair route, three options are:
- Dave the Trimmer (Reading area)
- Linas (DesignLS) - Chobham, Surrey
- Southbound (not sure location but I know it’s further afield).

sorry about the water damage (water ingress is the curse of the Targa). Have you identified and corrected the root cause so it doesn’t happen again?

If it helps I'm based in TW11 & have a complete set of black rear seats from a 2001 996.2 coupe, which are in very good condition, recently cleaned & treated with leather conditioner. I'm open to reasonable offers, but would prefer to sell as a set rather than split though. If you're interested then send me a private message & I can share some pics.
