Bump stops with Bilstein B6

QQ,

Can anyone advise whether bumpstops are required with Bilstein B6 suspension? I've read various iterations so looking for clarity. I'm upgrading running gear and shocks on my 996c4s and settled on B6 having gone round the houses with Ohlins/KW etc.

I called Design 911, used them for years but never helpful over the phone, I always get this very rude guy, hilariously rude, ergo post my question here.

thanks,

Tim

Second that recommendation for Center Gravity. They set my C2 Cab up and that’s running B6’s all round and we replaced the bump-stops all round and the front top-mounts and bearings. Although the B6 is supposed to be harder than the stock Bilstein, I’ve not found the ride any harder, in fact it’s much better damped now.

For the price of bump stops then I would factor in new parts, plus top mounts inspection.

I've had two bad experiences with parts from supplier mention; 944 failure of new lower ball joint and 996 mismatched wheel bearings from an unidentified brand.
