Hi All

I have been thinking of getting aftermarket exhaust for my 991 gen 1 Carrera S, Does anyone have any suggestions? it has the factory sports exhaust but looking for a change.

Thanks Adam

With Akrapovic you are paying for the name. Yes it might be Titanium but at £7.5k its a lot of cash. Probably gives you pub bragging rights though.

We are lucky in the UK not only do you have dedicated exhaust companies but plenty of fabricators and performance shops that can create something for you at closer to 2k - 4k dependent on just back box / + manifolds which will better suit your own requirements.

As an example, my friends has the same car as me ( 991.1 C4S ) and he has just had exhaust manifolds fitted. I think the company was R&R Topgear based in Kent and it was fitted at Brooklands Kent. From what I understand its a spin off company from Power Flow. Its supposed to sound great, but due to Covid-19 restrictions Im yet to hear it but in below link is a few pics, it certainly looks the part and is a decent weight saving over stock as well as a small BHP increase apparently.

i’m intrigued to hear it as personally I think the stock PSE 991.1 exhaust already sounds pretty good.

Clearly any modifications like these will void any Porsche warranty. But plenty of 991.1 cars are now not only out of warranty but owners aren't renewing so its the latest play thing for some over the older 997 cars.

All the best

I have an iPE with valves and it is great. I wonder if it would work with your sports exhaust button?

I’ve been eyeing up a soulpp for my 991.2 C2S. Swapped a couple of emails with them and found them nice to chat with, if nothing else.

Search for ‘em on YouTube. Some good examples there.

I'm in the same boat Adam,

I'm a bit of a yobbo at heart (despite the private education and glittering career naturally), so looking for something loud and obnoxious. Getting confused about what will maintain PSE button function and what won't. Fabsport SuperCup stuff looks like artwork.. Cheap too at circa £1500.
I may also either get the stock manifolds ceramic coated or do the same with some new ones + high flow cats...

If anyone tells my wife any of this, i will naturally say my account has been hacked.
