Our Macan GTS has just returned following its second visit to our detailer and it's looking absolutely fab. [:)]

[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]The finished article [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]During the darker days of our Covid winter I was beginning to think the Night Blue Metallic colour choice had been somewhat of a mistake - it was just a bit too sombre and was not very cheering. But now, as we move into sunny uplands of early spring with the sun glistening on the metal flake and the blue tint coming through, I'm really happy we chose it (smart and classy - just like its owner (not me BTW! [:D]) and it's turning heads. [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]At the end of last year, immediately following collection, my detailer had the car at his workshop for 3 days for a machine polish and ceramic coating. We'd also decided to PPF the front end - the first time I had ever had this. But Macan bonnets are notorious among the detailing world for being most difficult to wrap as there's a the huge expanse of panel and some tricky swage lines. The result to me looked perfectly fine, but my Man was not entirely happy and told me there were some new products coming through that would do a better job and he would like to have the car back to redo it later. So, a few weeks on and 2 more days at the workshops and here we are.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]In the end, he did the whole thing again, detailing the whole car inside and out and redoing the bonnet wrap and here's the result. We couldn't be happier. [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Looking good. Mine is also night blue and you are right, it is a pain to keep it looking clean and although you do not see many Macan's in this colour it looks amazing when it is sparkling and in my opinion one of the best colours to have. A few good products and some drying towels and it's back to showroom condition.

You are quite right, it looks splendid when clean and I'm pleased to say the treatment we have had done makes it very easy to maintain.

The colour is so varied too depending upon ambient light. Sometimes it's a dark almost solid colour at others a light metal-flake, almost translucent blue. It's like having a new car every day. [:D]

I think Mike's choice of Dolomite Silver is a good one too. Silver certainly accentuates the lines of the Macan. ??

Regards,

Clive

Great finish. My Boxster goes in for similar treatment this month. Plenty of paint correction needed to get it how I want it.
