Hi
i have recently purchased a 71 911T which prior to 1999 was registered in South Africa - any idea on how I can find out more about its history ?
thanks

Hi there - I purchased my early 72 911T back in 1996 when we lived in South Africa before moving back to the UK shortly afterwards, and have owned it since. During the search for the car, we looked at many both privately and at the main classic Porsche specialists in Johannesburg and Pretoria. We also attended a few club days there, so we got to know quite a few of the cars that were around at the time.

If you have a description or photo, it may jog some memories - I did look at a few '71 cars. No promises, but who knows.

Hi,
so kind of you to take an interest -
info I have so far is as follows -

i have one early photo which shows it in silver and badged up as an "S” and not a ”T”.
car is a 2.2, non sunroof, and is now painted in its original ivory white.
5 speed, manual, dog leg gearbox,
supplied with a Porsche certificate of authenticity.
imported to the UK in 1999

I’ll try and work out how to send you some photos !
cheers
