Changing Spoiler from Sports Design to Standard

Just purchased a 991T with Sports Design Package. Whilst I like the front, I'm not massively keen on the rear spoiler with the lip. Has anyone ever changed one of these and is it a big job to change?

Many thanks

I'm actually in the process of looking at going the other way! i have a 991.2 GTS that I've owned from new for the best part of three years now, I want to install the sport design rear spoiler with the lip, to replace my standard rear spoiler.. from what iv'e read so far its pretty straight forward to remove and swap as a DIY item.. it appears to be held in place with some screws and clips.. I guess the key is finding the replacement spoiler and getting it painted to match, then its a case to fit it.. i do however believe, that there "might" be some coding to be done afterward installation, as i believe the sport design spoiler with the lip doesn't lift as high as the standard spoiler without the lip when up to speed.. that I'm still trying to figure.. on the remote chance that you have a purchased a Nardo Grey 991T we could always consider a swap! Hi Tony,
Thanks for the information, really useful. I haven't taken delivery of the car yet so haven't seen it in the flesh, it may grow on me. I've seen so many without it, looked strange seeing one with it fitted. At least I know there is fix if I can't live with it. Unfortunately wrong colour for a swap!
Should I be worried about the front spoiler grounding? Mine hasn't got axle lift.

Hi John, I have a 991.2 4S with the lower road hight, (sports suspension) in all the time owning the car from new I have only scuffed the lower front valence twice, (multi-level carpark ramp and driving down the Stelvio pass!) both of which were not severe and fortunately on the same side (I sanded off the burrs) and not visible unless you look underneath ! However you do need to be careful on speed bumps and take the on at an angle and not at speed. (However the drivers following behind me must curse me for slowing down to drive over the bumps:ROFLMAO:) I hope you are happy with the 911T, If I was you I would keep the rear spoiler. I am sure it will grow on you to like it!
