A Pair of Porsche 930 Turbo wings required.

Hi all, as I am sure everyone is aware the cost of OEM replacement wings for a 930 turbo from Porsche are over a £1000 each. We are in the process of restoring a car and need a set of wings or replacement patches to mend the existing ones (The existing wings have been soda blasted and there are gaps in the metalwork under the headlamp apertures so we could mend them. if we could find some replacement repair patches) If anyone has some wings for sale or any thoughts on sourcing them (Or the repair patches) I would be very grateful. Paul.

Even if you source new wings from Porsche, they will need some fettling to fit correctly. If they are not too bad, you are likely better off refurbishing the original wings. I don't think there are any "repair patches" available (or weren't when I did mine), but a skilled metal worker should be able to let in new metalwork. Good luck.
Chris.

Hi Chris, thanks for your post, and yes you are probably right, the area under the headlamp is fairly generic on the 911 wings so we will either get a metalworker to fabricate a patch or use a patch from another 911 wing. Unless of course anyone has another suggestion?
