UK 911 SC Smog/air pump: Sell or Just Dispose?

Hi all

Previous owner gave me box of bits with the car 4-years ago.

Desperately tidying up garage for space and need to be ruthless. Do I just dispose-off or sell?

A quick check on ebay.co.UK showed some "buy it now" posts asking for and totalling about £400 for pump, bracket pipe and injectors! I know such posts aren't an accurate reflection of sold prices

I assume they may have some value in the USA but didn't think there'd be any value in the UK.

Thanks
Neil

Hi Neil,

If you absolutely need the space, then yes stick in on ebay or on the for sale section of this forum. Some owners want to keep their cars original or put them back to factory fitted so can be worth some money indeed if all there and working (not sure if you would get £400 but you never know with these things).
Otherwise happy to arrange courier to get it picked up from you and make space in your garage as I can find space on my shelves to store it (will not sell it, would be just to keep with my car).

Keep it. It’s always good to have all original parts for your car.

when I had my SC I kept the pump fitted to the car but removed the drive belt, so that it would not lose that 5bhp.

Thanks all, you've made me see sense!

I'll keep the pump and all its bits stored in the garage loft. The car is all original and I suppose it does keep it "all together" and would be of benifit when - God forbid - I have to sell the car and can handover all the bits like the previous owner.

Thanks all
Neil

Good move, you would only have regretted not keeping it all later down the road ;-)
