992 Sport Design Package

Hi,
Considering spec choices for a new 992 and wondered if the warning that comes with the Sport Design package 'Significantly Reduced approach/departure angle' has proved to be a problem with any owners who have it?

Thanks

I only acquired my car in December and have not done a lot of mileage, but thus far have not encountered any issues: no issues with speed humps or the approaches to sloped driveways/entrances so far. The SD front spoiler is definitely deeper than standard so I am sure that there will be steep approaches that will prove a problem. Best thing is to approach anything you suspect may be an issue at an angle first time round and see how things go.

Like you, I tried to gauge others' experience of SD front end but found it hard to judge how it compares with regular front end. Overall, having read lots of posts, I came to the conclusion that whilst the approach angle is reduced (ground clearance not so much), no one really seemed to encounter any great issues.

I read somewhere that the plastic lip on the bottom of the front spoiler is both cheap and easily replaced though I can't find that post.

As an aside, if I were buying new I would not specify SPASM (-10mm) without the front axle lift to be on the safe side.
