R7 Wine Tasting Evening, Saturday 30th January 7.30pm

Hi Everyone,

Happy New Year to you all. I'm hoping you will be able to join us on Saturday 30th January at 7.30pm for an evening of Wine Tasting with Alan Terry of Liquid Indulgence,
www.liquidindulgence.co.uk.
This will hopefully be the first of what could be a regular event for R7 members during lockdown. Spain is the country we are visiting first and the area we will be sampling wine from is the Rioja Region.
Alan will talk us through the Bauza Rioja Blanco and Tinto wines of the region and give us all tips for things to look for when purchasing wine.
You may want to bring your own nibbles or cook yourself a little Tapas!

[FONT=verdana, geneva"]For the evening Alan offers the option of 2 bottles of the Bauza Rioja.[FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]1 White and 1 Red[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]for £29.50 delivered.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]For the more affluent, 6 bottles delivered, which would include the Bauza Rioja plus those listed below:[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]Mixed SIX bottles
Bauza Rioja Blanco onebottle
Bauza Rioja Tinto one bottle
CHATEAU SAINT-NABOR CÔTES du RHÔNE TRADITION RED 2018
CHATEAU SAINT-NABOR CÔTES du RHÔNE TRADITION WHITE 2018
Italy Garganega white one bottle
Italy Corvina red one bottle

Alan is happy to accept bookings direct via email and he will also accept card payments so we don’t need to worry about the money! [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]To order your wine for the evening send an email quoting ‘R7 Spanish Wine Tasting’ and whether you want 2 bottles or the Mixed 6 together with your contact details to Alan or Tina.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]They will then contact you to take payment and then it's just waiting for the post to arrive and looking at it till the 30th, no tasting![FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]His email is: alan@liquidindulgence.co.uk, or Tina's tina@liquidindulgence.co.uk

As Alan needs to get the wine delivered on time he is suggesting a cut off date for the last order of Sunday 24th January. So don't delay ordering.[FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"][FONT=verdana, geneva"]The meeting will take place on Zoom. A link for the meeting will be sent out in the R7 newsletter.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]
If you have any questions, please contact me at R7@porscheclubgb.co.uk

Look forward to seeing you on the 30th January

Carol went on a Wine tasting tour of the Region, they were hosted by a chap called Alan for an evening, I wonder if it is the same chap.

They did taste the Bauza and we have had some.

Will be interesting to see.

Sounds blooming brilliant. Leyla is looking forward to it (you know what Leyla is like when it comes to wine!).

We have emailed Alan for the six mix.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the night.

Leyla & Dean

Hi Mark I suspect it is the same Alan as he mentioned to me he knew Carol personally. Was the tour with Geoff too?

Mike

Six bottles ordered. Hope they don't arrive too in case I drink them before the tasting!

Looking forward to it

Graham

Just ordered my mixed six set from Alan and Tina.
Looking forward to a great night.
Christine is excited more as she is the wine nut in this house.

Leyla can't wait, she has even booked the next day off work!

Looking forward to tasting the wines, my wife will just be wine drinking as opposed to the tasting.

Looking forward to the evening and catching up with everyone.

Hi All,

I hope it's OK for a couple R7 supporters (Technically R18) to join you for this evening?

Sounds a great idea, we've requested the '6 pack', along with a day off work Sun 31st!

Looking forward to it.
Many thanks.
Kev and Sue Dodd

Barbara and I have signed up for 6 bottles. I shall not be drinking all my 3 on the night but not sure if Barbara will. Looking forward to seeing you all on the 30th.

Are you implying that Barbara will be drinking your three bottles in addition to her own three? Respect - Barbara!

Just ordered mine too, mixed 6, on the back of Mr Elliott’s earlier message.
Looking forward to a good evening, don’t forget your nibbles, tapas selection?, and to chill and air the wines as required ??

Hic!

Hi Everyone,

I have just spoken with Alan from Liquid Indulgence and he has asked that in preparation for Saturday evening's wine tasting that you have chilled the white Rioja and opened the red well in advance to let it breathe. He also said to have poured a glass of each ready for the start of the talk.

See you all 7.30 Saturday

John

My wine broke in transit ??

Liquid Indulgence called time say they have sent some more. Really hope it arrives on time ??

our friends think this is a bit of a strange event. Cars and wine. Judging by the comments here, seems most folks like them both......separately. Hope to see you Saturday with the LI wine. ??

Looking forward to this evening.

Can somebody out he meeting id and password on here please, as I don't seem to be-able to find it, even though I know I had it.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard.

I've seen that you accessed the meeting this afternoon. Hopefully you are sorted. If not just email the R7 account and I'll resend you the link.

Hope that helps

John
