997.2 Winter Tyres

Hello,

My 997 Carrera S (GEN II) arrived end of Nov 2020 and it looks like I'm late for still getting proper winter tyres on the car this season (Covid-19 is a bitch...).
Does anyone sells or knows where I can still find winter tyres for this season with below specs around London?
I presume the most efficient option is to store the other set of tyres in the specialist's garage as don't have to spend necessarily more money for another set of wheels.
  • Front: 235/35 ZR19 (87Y)
  • Back: 295/30 ZR19 (100Y)
  • BRAND: Have Pirelli P Zero's summer tyres on them know.
Believe best is to go for winter tyres produced by Pirelli or Michelin (not sure whether Goodyear, Bridgestone or another premium tyre producer could have proper winter tyres for a sport's car)
Many thanks for your kind advice!

Matias

Have you thought about going for 18" wheels for winter when there's more potholes? Then you just need to switch wheels and not tyres.

Its my opinion that I would stay away from the Pirell Sorretos in the future. I have series 2 tyres on a spare set of 19 inch carrera classic alloys. They don't balance easy and 70 plus the feedback through the wheel isn't great. They seems to be less feedback through the steering wheel the lower the outside temp. If you are below 7 degrees they are better at speed. The tyres performance , I cannot complain, they feel planted in cold conditions, just like my summer rubber. I have a series of country s bends near my home and even when cold they glide through the bends with confidence. Never had the pleasure in the snow. I tried just swapping tyres last year and its not a good idea. The only issue I have now is everytime I park the car in my garages , my tpms sensors detect my summer wheels.

Hello,
Not sure if you are interested but i purchsed a set of new winter tyres from Porsche Tonbridge back in November and have done less than 400 miles on them over the winter. They are now in storage and i am not going to put them back on as I just dont use the car enough to justify it since we got a Range this year. They are 245/35 R20 PIR W240s and 295/30 R20 PIR W240s and i paid £1,564.05 for them. I would be interested in selling them if you wanted a set like new at a discount. Reciept attached
Thanks,
dom
