POTY Take 2

We are very grateful to Graham and Ang Rose who have rearranged Porsches Off to Yorkshire, which was sadly cancelled earlier this year. It will be a short, 3 night, break starting 31st May, to a very nice hotel near Darlington called Headlam Hall (www.headlamhall.co.uk) Tel. No. 01325 730238. The hotel has good food, beautiful grounds, a luxury spa and a 9 hole golf course. Car parking is very safe. The price for the stay will be £540 per couple or £390 for a single for the stay and includes bed, breakfast and evening meal and a cream tea on one of the afternoons, most likely the Tuesday. If you would like to join us, could you please get in touch with the hotel and book your room quoting Porsche Club Region 8 Trip and then email me, grahamrose911@hotmail.co.uk to let me know. At the moment the hotel is closed so to book you have to email them on admin@headlamhall.co.uk. They hope to re-open after Christmas (fingers crossed), when telephone bookings can be taken. Unfortunately we may be limited on rooms, so get booked in quickly. We will do a suggested route to the hotel on the first day, after meeting at some convenient place first. The second day we will also do a route which will end up at a tin mine, more about that later. The third day we thought it would be nice for everyone to do whatever they want to, we do have some suggestions, or perhaps you might just want to laze around the hotel or play a game of golf. Hopefully we will manage to do the trip this time and not have to cancel like last year. Many thanks Graham & Ang[:)]

Thanks Laura

My wife and I have booked by email. The hotel came back to us promptly to confirm. And I have notified Graham.

Like you, hoping it will go ahead this year. It will be good to see R8 friends in person for a change. Not sure I'll recognise them when I see more than head and shoulders.

Just to give an update on the POTY - the hotel is fully booked. Sounds like it will be a great week.

Graham may be holding a reserve list so contact him direct grahamrose911@hotmail.co.uk if you haven't got a place and want one. He should be the first to know if anyone drops out.
