OK so my car has been in lockdown for far too long so eventually decided to get on with it so that I can use it again properly (no more excuses).

With a full service done on the engine and gearbox side, a few more "little jobs" needed to be done and one thing led to another....

I had done the rear calipers a couple of years ago but I think these babies were due a refurb as well ??

With fresh calipers on, might as well put some new brake pipes as well. Had not done some of these for a long time, first attempt not too bad so let's crack on with the other ones (good practice as I have got to redo all of the brake lines on one of my other cars I am restoring at the moment) :

So much better now :

More to follow shortly...

That Blue looks great, is it an original colour for the year because I thought long and hard before changing mine to Orange!
I used 'Big Red' to overhaul all 4 original calipers rather than buying new 'replica'. I made all new brake pipes for the whole car with Cupro/nickel - actually got quite good at it by the end!

Yes it is original colour, Arrow blue.
Got my calipers done by them as well, I have been using this company for a long time now and they do great work.

Went through the final items on the ''Jobs to do'' list today and Daisy is now all good and ready to be used as it should.

Oil leak proved to be nothing at all (just one of the cover nuts needed a little tightening), handbrake adjusted and washer system back to full operation.

The GAZ rear shocks are in and did a quick drive tonight to check all ok and they feel really good (which I am not too surprised with as I have got these in all my race and track cars and all my customers are also so pleased with them on their road going or race cars).
Will now need to spend a little time to adjust them but the base set up is great already.

Now looks like I am going to have a few ''essential'' journeys to do this weekend ??
