Can anyone provide me or guide me to any information relating to Porsche 911 'Outlaw' models and their history or background - was this a model that Porsche actually produced and if so, what versions? Philip

Hi Philip, I understand the term "Outlaw" is used to describe cars that have been modified from slightly to extreme.
This can be used to describe small to massive mechanical changes like fitting 930 Turbo engines into a 356 body and to bodywork changes like the recent bodywork modification to a Boxster to make it look like a 356 Speedster.
As far as I know the Porsche factory has not made and sold an Outlaw model, although they have done some curious things during the development of a new model like a 4 wheel drive 3.2 Carrera and a rear engine and 4 wheel drive 944.
They generally tend to be someones idea of what they want their car to do or look like.
Any other thoughts anyone?
