Hi all,
I've been considering changing my stock exhaust for a sports exhaust and wondered if anybody had any recommendations based on their own personal experience.
Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave
I can also recommend the RSR mufflers from Gert Carnewal. Had them for years and only regret is that a mate recently told me at a track day that my 993 C2 was one of the quietest cars!! Seriously though, at tick over it has a lovely burble that turns heads, sounds great in the cab under full acceleration, and is quiet enough for a conversation when cruising. Couple this with the free trial offer on these things and you can't go wrong. If you are close to Nottingham, you can come and have a socially distanced listen!

The Carnewal mod on the exhausts are effective on improving the sound, if very crude by just removing the entire contents from the boxes! I had them on my C4S many years ago.
I tried some Tubi boxes on my 993 Speedster, but they were horrendously noisy so changed to the Cargraphic ‘fast road spec’ which are nicely made and don’t cause embarrassment when driving in town!

Recently tried recording the noise of my RSR's on my iphone and was amazed at how realistic the noise is, if anyone wants to know what they sound like...........

Hi, A bit late to the party but I've just replaced my Dansk sports silencers with EurocupGT's from Porscheshop.co.uk and I'm very pleased with the result. The Dansk silencers sounded the business under acceleration but were annoyingly booming at cruising revs - not great on long journeys with the top down! The Eurocups claim an increase in power and still sound good under acceleration but are far easier on the ear drums during everyday use.

Looking at where he purchased them from I reckon he is as hard as nails and could hold his breath for hours!

My 993 C4 has a Fabspeed exhaust which sounds pretty awesome and is one of my favourite things about the car. It was fitted years ago by a previous owner and still gets the nod of approval for quality and condition by workshops when up on the ramp.
My 987 Cayman has had the Carnewal treatment and it really enhances the aural experience, compared to what was previously a rather muted noise.
Good luck with whatever you decide to go with.
