Your lucky. According to my PC my car was built a week ago but its still in the factory compound.

Although its registerred on My Porsche its still says its in development!!

True to their word, I have just received an email to say that the car is built and en route. The car is also registered on My Porsche. Probably the best news I will receive today. I shall update this with the progress as and when.

The car appears on My Porsche, do you have to register the car to find its location, my previous buys have been from stock and the dealer setup the system?

I can only get specific details when I call the PC - they have more detailed access.

What I was told is that I could possibly get the car at the end of the month (in 3 weeks) even before the My Porsche is updated!

If they cannot keep the system updated more regularly than that then IMHO there is no point playing at it! Getting it working properly or remove it.

The good wheeze from Porsche is that now you are hooked into My Porsche ( I check 3 times daily) they have a wonderful section of addons for you car at ridiculous prices.

Lucky you, I expect you are getting excited.

I placed an order for my 2nd 992S end of July, still don’t have a build slot, I was hoping it would have been this quarter.

I am still enjoying my present 992S although there are problems with the PCM but not show stoppers.

A call this morning to Porsche Newcastle to check on the progress.... I am so impatient..... and it is in the Port of Grimsby awaiting transport up North..... I am soooo excited.

I did the same thing this morning too! I called PC Kendal and my car is also at the port of Grimsby So it must have been on the same ship.

Apparently the transport company have a max of 7 days to get the cars to the relevant Porsche Centres.

This time next week I should see my car.

Yep, this has caused a little flurry of activity, cherished plate etc....... I just want to see it, smell it and of course.... wash it!

I suggest you ask your suplier what the actaul difference is, but I expect that your insurance comany wll insist on the tracker being activated.

The My Porsche App is £89pa v the tracker activation is circa £220pa.

Just checked, Insurance quote has increased by £100, so £120 difference, probably worth the extra.

Suggest you get the tracker activated. If your car is moved without your tracker fob in the car you will get a friendly phone call from Porsche/Vodafone.

The Porsche connect will not give you a warning, unless you set up a location alarm. This will send a message if you car is outside the location radius you have set up.

Due into Newcastle Porsche tomorrow they think.....

Your worse than me! I'll just wait for the phone call now [:)]
I am so excited, I have been 5 months without a thrilling car. I have been looking forward to this since I first thought of buying a 911 in Martini Racing colours in 1981. I didn't, I got married instead and I am still with my wife, I doubt I would still have the car!

Ding dong.

It's here, called into Porsche Newcastle this evening and had a quick look, delivery Saturday. It is rather nice.
