Oil Level Check woes

Car (991.2 GT3) has started reporting the oil level is too high after previously reporting it was correct and no new oil added. How can that be??

I’ve had similar issues with my 991.1 GT3, the upper level is extremely sensitive. On my driveway (very minor slope) it was fine, but in my garage it was reading over full.
Ended up syringing oil out, a bit tricky but can be done.

I have had a similar issue, When my 991.2 returned from a service it started smoking I contact the OPC who collected it and said they found nothing wrong. I have films showing smoke belching out of the exhaust on startup or heavy acceleration where I couldn't see the car behind me, they have had it is the workshop 4 times each time saying nothing is wrong. I felt the electronic dipstick wasn't correct because after using the car 1800 miles it burned off the oil which is now sitting half way up the green indicator and it's stopped smoking. Having read that a 991.2 in the USA lost his engine due to an incorrect indicator, I took it to Brookspeed our local specialist, they set it up on their equipment whilst they added the oil, it is now correct yet showing over filled. They suggested I use it as much as possible over the week and take it back in. Figures crossed they found a small fault which could have major consequences. The OPC's are all over you when you are spending money
