Hi There,

I have hard back sport seats and was thinking about getting them painted to either match the exterior or a contrast colour.

My question is has anyone ever done that (along with the centre console) before?

Regards,

Nozer

Hi

I never painted as I could not find the paint match so ended up wrapping the seat backs. Obviously, colour matching with exterior would work too.
Regards

If you don’t mind, how much did it cost to get the seat backs wrapped.
My car is black leather with silver centre console, vents, speedo, binnacle etc. But I want to wrap the hard backs in silver to match.
Many thanks
Simon

Wrapped sounds like a good idea too but The surface of the backs and the centre console probably needs prep work so wrapping without prep may just show the imperfections right?

in any case would you be able to direct me to where you went and how much it cost?

thanks, Nozer

I did the wrapping myself. It was a difficult job to be honest. In retrospect, I would have them spray painted next time.

The plus on wrapping is the protective skin and can be removed for resale. I would have thought costs would not be too much. Something, I've not heard too much about in the UK is hydro-dipping, where intricate components can be evenly coated.
