Hi have done a oil change on a 2015 981 Gt’s 3.4 gearbox, I took the fill/level plug out first before draining the oil and quite a lot of oil came out Of it,when I refilled the gearbox I only got in just over a litre and a half of oil and it started to come out of the fill hole so I was wondering what the capacity of the gearboxes

Kenneth,

I think that the refill quantity should be in your Driver's Manual but I believe that it's 2.8 litres. Was the car completely horizontal when you drained and refilled the gearbox? If oil was coming out before you drained the oil it sounds as though it might not have been, unless it had been over-filled before which, judging by the age of the car, was most likely the original factory fill and therefore correct.

Jeff
