Onboard computer stalk - perplexed by missing functions

Hi all

2010 997.2 C4S PDK owner. I’m trying to access audio and phone functions from the stalk. According to the manual I should be able to access phone and audio functions from the stalk along with speed limit and oil check but they simply aren’t there. I have a factory fitted Sport Design Paddle wheel so without the multifunction wheel controls the stalk functions would be really handy.

Can someone please demystify this for me?

Much appreciated!

OK my current theory is that the third party who added Cruise Control for the previous owner messed up the software configuration. I see that the sports Chrono functions are completely absent.

Yes, you should be able to access those functions via the stalk. Sounds like you need to take it somewhere they can reprogram. Although I would have thought the oil check is a basic function which should always be there. No other way to check it on these.

Thanks. I should clarify Oil/Info/Limit are all there. I will take it to an OPC, which is now booked for December.

As the meter will be running I’m curious as to how long the reprogramming ought to take.
