DME relay

Hi All, I bought and fitted a solid state DME relay 3 months ago, only done about 600 miles since but no problems encountered.
A few years ago I had a failure of the original so following advice have always kept a spare in the car.
This solid state unit appears to resolve the failure issue. The S S relays are from a USA supplier, a relative living there got one for me cost $75. The relay supplier is Focus 9 Technology LLC Glendale AZ 85308. Part No FT9-SSR-993. I was told that they do not supply direct to Uk. Don

Hi, I have one of these USA solid state DME relays in my 968, it is about 3 years since I put it in. So far so good. Our son lives in the USA so I got it delivered to his house. The makers will not supply to the UK.

Only -ve thing I've heard about the SS DME's is they can be vulnerable to jump starts (maybe down to voltage control, I'm not sure). I guess, as always, having the usual mech spare in the glovebox is the norm advice.
