Hope this is in the right place!.......I am trying to locate the oil pressure gauge/pressure light switch on the engine. I suspect mine is faulty as It now reads max pressure without the engine running. I gather it’s a common problem but where is the thing!!!

I might be wrong on this (partly because I've not heard of it happening with the oil pressure gauge) but I believe problem of gauge needles showing maximum relates to the soldering on the back of the dials not the sensors themselves. Somewhere there is a post that explains which connection it is that needs a touch with a soldering iron.
 
Thanks Mark...pretty certain it’s the sender.....2 circuits one for the oil light and one for the pressure gauge. Good info on Design 911 but not where the thing is....I reckon it’s on the top somewhere towards the right but seeing and getting to it doesn’t look an easy task....maybe someone who has changed the part will respond...
