Sports exhaust boom

My 993 cab has a Dansk sports silencers and B design tail pipes fitted. All the ads talk about the 'extra power' and 'phenomenal sound' but sometimes I find the exhaust note to be too booming at cruising revs during longer drives. I was wondering if anyone out there has had the same experience and, if so, is there any cost efficient solution to reduce the boom effect? Or is the only option to replace the silencers and tail pipes, In which case, any suggestions?

I had a SuperSprint exhaust on my Targa when I bought it and very quickly replaced it with the standard Porsche set up. Not cheap to do, but even with turn downs the SuperSprint was too loud for me to live with.

The great news is that the engine note when working the car hard is still amazing, even with the OEM exhaust!

To be honest, you are very unlikely to notice any power difference over the standard set up, even on a track. It certainly wouldn't factor in my thinking.

Cheers/John

John,
Thanks for the response. I was worried it was just me. I think I'm going to have to start saving up for new OEM silencers

Yes, original is perfectly good enough - they sound great on them.
