718 Manual

Hello

I am looking at getting a 718 Cayman T. I would prefer the manual but I see it can't be specced at the moment. Spoken to an OPC and they can't tell me when it will be available again, just wondered if there had been any information from Porsche and how long it has been unavailable? Dependant on the time scales I would potentially go for a PDK, but if it is only 1-2 months or so I would just delay my purchase and get the manual.

Yes, rather odd that the CS can be spec'd with both manual and PDK but the C and CT can't. Obviously it's a supply issue right now, but I would think that things should improve in Q4 when PDK is expected to become available on the GT4 and CGTS to take off the pressure on manual 'box supply and demand. It just depends how long you're willing to wait. Other than pestering the Dealer the only other way is to check the Porsche Configurator regularly for updates.

Good to see that you're bucking the trend for PDK. Unfortunately I fear that we're a dying breed.!

Jeff
