Reason for a drive out. ..... as if you need one

in this time of limited group get togethers, I thought I would add a quick driving route that I did recently. It was to visit some "namesake” places within the south Cotswold area - Dunkirk, Pennsylvania, New Zealand and Poole Keynes (Poole Quay (well sort of). i didn’t stop of even divert off the main road but it was a reasonable circular route that starts and finishes at the AV8...

hopefully the route copies ok..

ideal drive for one or a few cars whilst still complying with the rules..

anyone got other routes I could try?

have fun. Stay safe.

cheers
Al

Glad to see these may be used..

went out on Friday and did the A38/A48 loop (round Gloucester and back over the M48). fine easy roads and relatively empty stopped for lunch at The White Hart Inn which has a massive parking area and sits on the side of the River Severn.

this route starts and finishes at The Huntsman and avoids motorways (apart from the M48 bridge).

AV8 to Daylesford Organic Shop

the shop is great for a change and after all it is somewhere to aim at...

This is a different route and one that uses some different roads

google maps does try and change part of the route but again that doesn’t matter the point is to take the car out and go for a drive either on your own or with others (of course complying with whatever the rules of the day are)...

have fun - let me know your thoughts...

cheers

went out today (Bank holiday Monday) to do a loop from the AV8 (which was actually closed). So stopped for coffee en-route..

route was
START @ AV8
- Dunkirk
- Pennsylvania

** coffee at Allington Farm Shop (lots of outdoor space) ****

- Kington Langley
- Foxham
- New Zealand (well just in the edge of)
- Royal Wootton Bassett

FINISH @ AV8

Must admit - binned out of returning to the AV8 and headed for lunch in Tetbury... lots of places to try - we had a great lunch at the Ormond Hotel.

It is a good couple of hours driving. We linked up with another Porsche to enjoy the drive.

it is worth the drive...
