My Garage Clear-out!

Having now sold my 968 I find I have a few "leftovers” that may be of interest to members. Hopefully you have E_968_Katalog.pdf to refer to!

1. On illustration 501-01 rear axle, 2 off "supporting mount” 944.331.175/176 00 part number 11, so 1 x LH and 1 x RH, plus 1 off "mounting” 951 333 088 30 part number 4 (which is not handed). Purchased about 5 years ago from 944reanimation in USA, the rubber is not delaminated, I cleaned most of the rust off and gave the metal a coat of black hammerite. These are £80 (?+import duty) for a full set of 4 in far worse condition on eBay ATM. £50 incl. RM 2nd class signed for (comp. £50). SOLD

2. Matched pair of RHD headlights, no stone chips or scratches on the lenses.
£160 including RM Special Delivery (comp. Up to £250) SOLD

3. Pair of cobalt blue coupe sun visors (with mirrors) bought in error, cab sun visors are different! £25 inc. RM 2nd class signed for.

4. "Chinese” copy MAF brand new, never installed and only removed from box to photograph! £30 incl. RM 2nd class signed for. SOLD

5. On Illustration 202-05 : 2 slightly used rubber exhaust mountings 928 111 259 02 part number 17, 1 "Hook” brand new which I think is 944 111 064 02 part number 16 (or could be part number 14) and 2 hooks which I think are parts 18 and 19 but need Deox de-rusting and repainting. £6 inc. RM 2nd class signed for. SOLD

6. 944 307 110 00 Tiptronic transmission filter, brand new. £8 inc. RM 1st class.

7. 944 613 043 01 Tiptronic Selector Plate and microswitches.

First, one microswitch actuator arm (the one on the end of the cable) was cannibalised as a temporary repair to my coupe, in the photo the replacement is alongside the cannibalised one, some fine soldering required to detach the old and install the new, my sausage fingers and soldering (lack of) skills no good so not done!

Second, the actuator arm on the "manual select” microswitch (the middle one of the 3 in a line) is missing, this is a known weak point, it breaks at the crease line on the actuator arm. I bought this selector plate as NOS from USA but it arrived with the actuator arm missing!

2 other loose microswitches are included, I think the roller arm on one would work on the manual select microswitch but no longer have a car to check it on, the other with the long arm I have no idea why I have it!

£77.50 inc. RM Special delivery (comp. £100)

Collection possible (with postage costs removed from prices given) from TN26 8 miles SE of J9 M20, any multiple purchase I will re-calculate postage cost and adjust price accordingly.

Just realised I have a couple of other 968 items that may be of interest :

1. Screen wash reservoir, has the cut-out on the inside for the headlight wash pump but unused, just the cutout for the screen wash pump open. Don't know what P&P would be as it's large but light, but don't want more than the P&P for it.

2. 1991-92 MY fuel lines removed from my 92MY 968 cab when we had to convert her to 93<MY lines as one flexi for 91-92 MY was NLA, so had to convert the fuel filter mounting and thus also the fuel lines. These lines run from the fuel filter to under the bonnet, flow and return, were reported as corroding but appear OK, if nothing else they are a template for creating replacements thus I am loath to scrap them. They will have to be collected from TN26 about 8 miles SW of J9 M20 as they are too long and fragile to be even couriered. Free to whoever would like to collect them!

Send it to me Chris, washer bottle

I will look after it till someone needs it, I am a bit closer to the civilised world than you

Next time we're having a GTG I'll put whatever's left (except the fuel lines!) in the boot of the SLK - and here in the Garden of England we're in God's county, not the county that has spawned so many jokes!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:[;)][;)]
