968 Specialist in the SE

Hi. I’m new to this Register and 968 ownership (although I had one from new in the 90’s). Can anyone recommend a transaxle specialist in the SE? The Independents I’ve used are helpful but understandably focus on the flat six and SUV’s And are clearly not expert.

Routine maintenance needed (inc Timing and Balancer belts) as although these were done 3k miles ago, it hasn’t been used much and 5 years have passed. Also want to sort some minor electrical and cosmetics.

Thanks.

Would help to know roughly where you are, as SE is quite a large area! There's La Rose in Kemsing and quite a few more scattered around!

+1 for Northway. They've looked after my S2 in the 13 years I've had it, and also other transaxle cars. Always a pragmatic approach to these cars, several on his team have long experience on 944s and 968s (including Ray himself). Busy, though, so book 6wks ahead...but worth the wait.

Near Aldermaston station, which is handy.

Many thanks for these recommendations. I appreciate your time. In the first instance, I’ll try Northway.

Thanks very much for the advice Graham. I’ll give Northway a try. Transaxle 944/968’s are such fantastically balanced and well built cars - they don’t get the attention they deserve.
