Weird Radio Fault- Help Please.

Hi, Looking for some advice where to start with my Boxster radio. I have, I believe a PCM 3,with Sat Nav, and blue tooth phone module, in a Boxster Spyder 2010, which has decided to continually turn itself off then on again whilst driving, about every 2-3 minutes without fail. I can hear a noise like a relay click within the unit when it turns off, and then almost instantly it turns itself back on again, with the Porsche logo and runs fine for a couple of mins. I know these cars are not suppose to have a radio but I do like my sounds and Spotify, and the Bovee device I have works a treat.
I'm now considering just ripping the old unit out and replacing it with a Kenwood Apple Car play enabled unit. The Sat Nav on the existing unit has never been updated, I use my iPhone anyway, and I never play CDs anymore. And that strange Sim card slot -well I've no idea what that's all about.
Will this modification de-value the car? Do I try to repair the old unit even though I don't use most of its features?
Any ideas will be gratefully received.

Dave

Guess you either get it fixed or replace it. If you go down the latter route, would suggest you ensure everything is reversible. I have an older gen 1 car and have done just that.

Been doing a lot of thinking about this and I decided to go down the 'fix it' route, as I use a Bovee for connecting the streaming music element and my I phone for Sat Nav, and the fact that the Crono element wont appear on a new Kenwood install . And I still like the original look.
So can any one recommend a good independent Car PCM / electronics specialist in the North Herts area, or further out?

Dave??

Success!
So today after speaking with the third Apple support guy I now have a fully functioning iPhoneXs in my 2010 Boxster.
After trying numerous resets on the phone and resetting of the PCM3 the phone now connects and mutes everything whist in use.
It seems the constant resetting of the PCM when the phone has been paired has been a common problem world wide with the iPhone X & Xs. I've discovered that every forum that I visited has posts regarding this even on the Apple web site, but no real solution.
But the last Apple guy I've spoken to gave me some information that today seems to have worked.
On the phone go to Settings - General-About-Name > here rename your phone with something different.
Then try repairing. This worked for me.
I cant personally see how this could affect it- but it did!
Stress over.
