Hello
so today is the warmest day of the year so far , but my car reckons it’s in Siberia ! OBC outside temperature reading was -21 ! When I reversed it back into the garage it adjusted itself to a more seasonal -12.5 , I suppose i need a new probe ?

Thanks

Yes, it sounds like it. Although it could also be worth checking for leaks from the A/C that could be causing the probe (or part thereof) to be cooled by something it shouldn't be. I don't have that problem on my 996 but on our Disco Sport we sometimes get spurious cold readings when the A/C has been cranked down to very cold and has been working hard to get the car cool which I think is due to condensation forming and affecting the external temp probe/sensor.

Someone much more technically competent than me will be able to point you in the best direction though I'm sure...

Update

New outside temperature probe / sensor fitted , all back to normal now ??
