We have two updates for you, firstly R12 member Kerry Walpole has set up a closed R12 Facebook Group, which is another good way to engage with R12 members and friends during this time. To join, use your Club membership number.
Over to Kerry:
"It's all been set up in line with the one that has been set up for a while now in R7.
It is a closed group, so only members in the group will be able to see the posts. The members also need to be members of the Porsche Club GB to join.
If you could share the link to the members in R12 that would be much appreciated. For link, click here."
Secondly, last evening we held a Club Zoom video conference with Directors, ROs, RSs and other prominent Club members - some 40 people in all. On Wednesday night we had a similar video conference with Phil Graham and many other ROs.
The Club is in the process of trying to setup a national Porsche Club GB Zoom account that will enable each Region to hold its own video conference with Regional members in lieu of Club night for those that can, and wish to, participate. Setup information will be supplied - you only need a PC, laptop, tablet or phone that has a camera and audio capability. For those who’ve used Skype, Zoom is similar.
Once we have all the details we will send them out to R12 members, hoping that all will be ready for our next scheduled Club night on Tuesday 21 April. The likely start time will be 7.30pm for about an hour, subject to the level of interest? We should have already taken part in the Club’s AGM video conference on Saturday 18 April so hopefully we will have Club news to brief you on.
Just in case you haven’t thought of it, and providing you have or can get what you need, now is the time to catch up on those house and garden jobs you’ve been putting off, such as decorating? Anyone remember the good old spring clean? Maybe it’s time to resurrect it, if you haven’t done it for years – we haven’t! Please keep your mind and body active as much as possible during these difficult days, take advantage of the sunshine while we have it – it does help to cheer us up. We have joined our village community group offering help to those who aren’t able to get out and need, shopping, prescriptions etc.
If anyone needs help or advice etc. then please do drop us an email and we will do our best to help if we can.
Best regards,
Tony and Colleen Wickins
