R3 "Online Meeting"

During these extremely difficult and testing times as key workers currently, Deb & I would like to apologise for what may seem to some like an unprecedented radio silence over the past few days as events and Club life slowly grinds to a stop.

We appreciate that most of you will recognise that we always take our Club roles extremely seriously, however our main focus and priority, must currently be on ensuring our own business survives and that we fully concentrate on the safety and welfare of all our staff, therefore as we both undertake more and more of our employees’ daily roles as our staffing levels are slowly depleting day on day, it obviously gets harder and harder to juggle our work and Club roles, therefore we ask that you all, please, kindly bear with us.

We are both incredibly pleased to see that our R3 forum is alive and well and booming as usual, but once again forgive us both if we don’t appear to be chipping in daily with some of the banter. However, I know you are all in safe hands with many of the events team keeping up to speed and other officials chipping in from around the country, it once again proves R3 is undoubtably the friendliest Region of all.

Feel free to share your quarantine stories on here or on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. I’m sure many of you will have been catching up on some Porsche jobs, whether detailing or maintenance that you’d like to tell us about. Or you may have found some interesting online articles, or Porsche related TV shows you could recommend for those who are starting to succumb to cabin fever. Let’s keep the great R3 social element alive during these testing times.

Despite all this you can rest assured both Deb and I will still be working in the background to ensure at the earliest opportunity possible, normal service, can and will be resumed and would like to thank you for your understanding and patience in advance at this time.

Stay Safe

Greg & Deb.

No problem Greg and Deb we all appreciate the time spent and the dedication of your team which must be very difficult in these trying times whilst keeping your business functioning to serve the essential services and ensuring the safety of your employees.

Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you on the other side of the crisis.

Mike, Barbara and TJ

How about a Zoom event Greg?

ive attended a couple of Zoom events lately and they’ve worked pretty well (probably less problems then you normally have with the PA at the Stables LOL). The Cayman register tried it midweek but only gave 48hrs notice so wasn’t that well attended so rather but was a good idea. Rather than try to arrange something new, maybe we could use the normal clubnight slot but rather than the Stables make it over Zoom...Doesn’t have to be anything special just any important updates you want to pass on and maybe something informal like the quiz we did @ Xmas to give it a social vibe?

Just an idea to help keep the R3 community together whilst our cars are generally locked up on the drive?

No expert but happy to help organise if there is enough interest?

Simon, it’s on the cards, we’re working on it, please bear with us till we have some spare time, we’re currently concentrating on our business at the moment as we’re running the place with no staff, but we’ll be back with you all when we’re caught up on work (& sleep!)

No problem, as stated above happy to help spread the load if needed.

Stay safe
