Recommend an alloy wheel & tyre insurance policy for 992 with Carrera Classic wheels

Hi folks,

I'm almost there. After going back and fore between buying a new 992 or second hand one I have put down a deposit on a year old 992 with under 2,200 miles.

It's from a Porsche dealership however they don't offer alloy wheel & tyre insurance

Can anyone recommend a good policy?

My "new" car has 20/21 inch Carrera Classic wheels. I guess these are diamond cut wheels?

I have found a policy that covers diamond cut wheels but doesn't cover these types.

" Chrome finish wheels, multi piece wheels ("split rims”). Powdercoated, Magnesium, Flange-cut, Hydro-dipped and anodised wheels, Pinstripe and powder coated finishes"

If the Carrera Classic wheels are diamond cut I'd be OK. If someone can recommend a policy that would be really helpful

Any help would be appreciated

Many thanks for your help

That company's exclusions seem pretty comprehensive, particularly excluding powder coating - twice - (which I think many wheels now are straight from the factory).
The Carrera Classic wheels are diamond cut so you should be OK. Never had wheel/tyre specific insurance myself, so can't make a recommendation. In the Exeter area we are lucky enough to have a really first class road wheel restorer, so we can use him if/when the need arises! [;)]
Regards,

Clive
