Some good news in the gloom

Despite all of the gloom sitting over us at the moment we are still planning events for later in the year on the basis that, hopefully, this will be very much in decline or even gone by September.

To this end I have today reserved 25 rooms at a hotel close to the New Forest for our Autumn 2 day scenic drive. (Sept 26th/27th) I have negotiated a good group rate with a 25% discount off their normal rates and, best of all, a booking can be cancelled up to 48hrs before at no cost should the worst come to the worst. Win, win.

I will put out the details in the next newsletter and on the website at the same time to be fair to non forum/FB users.

Also we have chosen our venue for the 2021 New year Dinner Dance on the 9th Jan 2021. We have to put the package together before officially announcing it so, again, details will be up at the beginning of April. I can tell you it's location is very central to the Region, east to west, and good access from all directions!

Yes, after my newsletter today I hope we will get a lot more on board. Electronic socialising is all we're going to have for a while..[:(]
