final production 993 chassis numbers

Hello All,

One for the history buffs.

I'm in need of some help trying to track down the chassis numbers for the final batch of right hand drive narrow bodied 993s. I'm not sure if any information is available but it would be useful to know as I've just found out my car was registered in June 1997, but didn't actually hit the UK roads until December, which is a bit of a mystery ?

It would be nice to know whether it is one of the final batch, and would also add to the provenance for any future owners.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Regards

My information shows that there were 780 RoW Carrera coupes produced in the W programme which ran from August '97 to July '98 manufacture + Targas & Cabriolets ..

As your car was registered in June '97, manufacture would be latest May '97 in the V programme, so will not come close to even being in 'the final batch' I'm afraid .. [:(]

UK registration numbers by year are available in the FAQ section ..

cheers, Maurice

Thanks for the info Maurice. Much appreciated.

As I suspected, although I thought all the 98 coupes were wide body?

Just double-checked my source - does not separate wide body from narrow for coupes except for Turbo / GT2. The UK #s mentioned do .. https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=177223 but AFAIK the year referred to is Calendar not Programme ..

Perhaps to elaborate the Programme Year is in the VIN .. WPOZZZ99Z_Programme_S31001-5794 where programme = V (96-97 MY)

All clear ? .. [&:]

cheers, Maurice

Not quite[8|]

V = 97MY only (96MY is T)
