Cayenne Diesel S Warranty

Hi all
My 2017 KN is approaching the end of warranty and I'm facing the inevitable decision about whether or not to invest in the OPC extended warranty and future servicing or go the independent route.
I've just been quoted £270 for the 111 point check and £940/£1690 for 1/2 year warranty.
I know this issue has been widely discussed generally but I'm particularly interested in any reliability/warranty issues that KN S diesel owners may wish to share.
I've got a good local independent as an alternative. Also are there any other warranties that anyone would recommend?
Cheers

Our first Macan had to receive a replacement short engine under warranty. Cost to Porsche AG was said to be c. £17k.

Just look on the extended warranty as being part of the cost of ownership.

Ouch! It's that sort of disastrous scenario that a warranty insures against. Just comes at a significant premium - but I'm leaning towards having that comfort blanket.

My 3.0 V6 Diesel went out of warranty late last year.

As said before, it was a no-brainer to go with the OPC warranty.

You are paying for the peace of mind.

I'd say its a 'no brainer too .. I've kept my Cayenne under Porsche warranty from new. Worry free motoring .. it's the old story, if you don't take the warranty, you'll have a claim .. and if you do have the warranty, you'll not need a claim. With such enjoyable driving, it's worth the cost and peace of mind.
