This event is billed as a massive outdoor event celebrating classic and exotic cars and motorcycles from around the globe and we are told that the 2020 show is going to be even bigger & better than ever, with over 450 cars & motorcycles on display, a full Concours d' Elegance, racing simulator competition, a post event BBQ with live music and further surprises yet to be announced. More info on the show can be found here.
This event has sold out quickly in past years, and due to its continued success, we are expecting an increased demand for this 2020 event. With this in mind the organisers can only allocate us a maximum of 20 places on our Club stand, so be quick if you would like to join us and other classic Porsche owners as part of our R3 classic display at this event. Entry for exhibitors is between 07:30 and 10:00 and finishes at 17.30

If you would be interested in showing your classic Porsche and would like to take advantage of a FOC entry ticket for those participating in our display please let me know ASAP by emailing r3@porscheclubgb.com

No worries Ruth, there will be plenty of other shows for the newer models throughout the year. Check out our provisional R3 calendar here for more info. Look forward to a catch up soon.

Sorry Stephen & Gary we can't add either of your cars to our Club display as neither unfortunately meet the given criteria by the show organisers.

You are of course welcome to join us at the show but unfortunately you will have to park in the normal car park and purchase a ticket to gain entry, due to both your cars being too new, or you could register directly with the organisers as an individual.

Apologies if this thread has caused confusion but the organisers are very keen to keep this a "classic & Aston" show only and have requested no modern vehicles in the line ups of the Club displays, to keep the theme relevant.

However if you are still keen to show your modern Porsche you can apply directly to the show organisers who are happy to group a range of modern exotica together on display which looked great last year and was in a prime spot near the workshop entrance. See here for more details on how to apply with a later model.

Hi Greg,

Pop me down for my 996 to go on the display please. Hopefully my tyres will be in better condition this year...

Thoughly encourage anyone to go to this show. Only a stone's throw from our monthly club meeting venue. Last year was a brilliant event with lots of shiny stuff to look at and lots to do. Facilities are great and very family friendly. Even a bar for the non-drivers.

If anyone that has a car to qualify for Porsche Classic Register can be displayed on the club stand (subject to numbers). Link here for https://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/classic/register/ eligibilty. So if you are going to the 2nd May morning at Porsche Classic Register early in the year and want to show off your new classic number plate surround (a straight one, yes, Mr Chapman!), this is a great opportunity.

David.

Should have read it properly, just at attend, not showing anything, no matter what you say [:D]

Gary

We would be up for this if my car is suitable.

We haven't been to this show before.

Absolutely Marty, your car would certainly turn lots of heads in our R3, classic line up, thanks for the offer.

Hi Greg

If there are spaces left & if the event still goes ahead please could I now attend with my 944t, as I will now be in the UK seen as LeMans Classic has been postponed till 2021.

Many thanks

Paul

Sorry Paul, we’ve had an email from the organisers this week. The show is cancelled until further notice.
