It’d have to be pretty bad for Harris not to like a Porsche... he did seem impressed though [8D]

A small group of members went on the 5th March trip to the Porsche Museum/Factory Tour. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered an additional visit on the tour to the new Porsche Experience Centre at Hockenheim. Needless to say all members on the trip agreed as part of this were Hot Laps in the new Taycan!! .
Turns out we were the first club in the world to get this visit. The ride with the professional driver in the Taycan was sensational. The track layout at the centre had a good distribution of curves, and chicanes connected by short straights. From a standing start nothing prepares you for the incredible acceleration and grip that this car produces. The track was very wet but this didn't seem to hamper the driver for throwing the car into the corners, four wheel drifting between them but I guess because of the low centre of gravity the car was always balanced.
Wide grins on exiting the ride from all who experienced this exceptional car!
The experience centre should form part of visits in future were told so take up the opportunity if you can.
