981 x73 sports suspension vs. lowering springs

Hi Guys,

As always, I'm after some advice/feedback please.

Has anyone ever retrofitted the x73 sports suspension pack or had lowering springs fitted? I have a 2.7 981 that I understand sits 20mm higher than an 'S', spec car and whilst the handling on my 2.7 is good, I think having it sit a little lower would improve the looks, hopefully not to the detriment of the handling!?

Ideally I would like to fit the proper x73 kit but that's £2k vs. £400 H&R lowering springs fitted! Quite a difference!!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Tom

Tom,

I think you'll find that there's no difference in standard spec between your 2.7L and the S version. Having PASM drops the car 10mm but the X73 kit may be even lower; I'm not sure. The X73 option was for springs and dampers as a matched set, so just fitting lowering springs may look better but I would guess that you'd be in for a significantly firmer/harsher ride.
